Combining Rug Hooking & Braiding

Several guild members spent this past Friday and Saturday learning to add braids to hooked mats from Kris McDermott, co-author of Combining Rug Hooking & Braiding, Basics, Borders & Beyond.
Kris brought several pieces of her own, as well as some really well-done visual aids to share with us. We all brought 2 small hooked pieces, one a 6 inch square with a 2.25 circle left unhooked, and a 6-inch circle.  There was a sharp learning curve on Friday, but we were all a little more relaxed and experienced on Saturday morning.  By Saturday afternoon, we were all beaming with pride at our accomplishments.
