January Hook-In

Our next hook-in will be a catered lunch taking place on Saturday, January 11th from 10am to 3pm at the Cutchogue Presbyterian Church for paid guild members.

Any non members who want to join and pay at the January 11th hook-in are welcome. Just rsvp to
peconicruggers@yahoo.com by January 7th as it is a catered lunch for paid guild members only.

"Gail Horton, a renowned fibre artist from Greenport, NY,  was instrumental in starting the Peconic Ruggers rug hooking guild. 

She and a friend Cindy Roe, a talented artist and photographer, have joined forces in a unique show currently on display in the Gallery of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library, Case’s Lane, Cutchogue from September thru October with an Artists’s Reception on Saturday, October 12 from 1-3 p.m.

Entitled, “Dusk ‘Til Dawn,” it combines Gail’s use of traditional rug hooking  and Cindy’s paintings."

Hallockville Fall Festival 2013

The Hallockville Fall Festival was a tremendous success. The beautiful weather brought out crowds
of people. Thanks to all the guild members who came out to demonstrate and to Louise and Sue for
all their hard work.

We will not be having a meeting in September because we will be at the Hallockville Fall Festival in Riverhead, September 14th and 15th, from 10am to 5pm. See you all there!

July 2013 Hook-in

The first of our summer hook-ins took place at the Cutchogue Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 13th. Despite the hot weather and a bit of rain, the turnout was good. The fact that we had 3 fans certainly helped. Many beautiful projects were worked on, accompanied by interesting conversation. We enjoyed delicious rice salad, fruit salad and cookies. Everyone is looking forward to the next time we get together at the hook-in in August.
