Holiday Party 2012

Our holiday party, which took place on January 19th, was a wonderful, well attended gathering.  As usual, there were so many beautiful rugs being worked on. Lunch was catered and delicious, with many desserts provided by our members. The raffle rug drawing was held, with Jennifer picking the winner, who will be notified of her good fortune. A wool swap of a fat quarter also added to the fun.
Good company and conversation was had by all. Many thanks to Louise and Sue for all their hard work in putting together this enjoyable day.

Rug Show 2012

Wow!! What a show!! The 2012 Peconic Ruggers Rug Show was a tremendous success! We were packed with people from beginning to end. Barbara's idea for a pumpkin make it-take it was also a big success, selling over 30 kits. Many of the people who bought the kits expressed an interest in joining the guild. The show was a wonderful experience for all, thanks to the hard work of all the guild members who made it happen. And thanks again to Ken for his work in hanging our rugs.

Thanks as well to Carol for hosting the potluck dinner Saturday night in her lovely home. Her spinach lasagna was delicious as well as all the other dishes brought by everyone who attended.
A good time was had by all.
The Peconic Ruggers, started by Gail Horton in 1996, is a rug hooking guild from the North Fork of Long Island, New York. We meet monthly at the beautiful Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead, New York.
