2011-2012 Raffle Rug - Guest Post

Guest Writer - member Sara from The Paisley Studio

This year's Peconic Ruggers raffle rug is coming along nicely! Here it is spread out at the meeting last night. Each vignette features a roadside attraction out here on the East End. The design is by Gail Horton and is a copy of an earlier Ruggers' raffle rug. Don't you love the black watch border?  We'll draw the winning ticket in the fall. If you are interested in purchasing tickets -- $1 each or 6 for $5 -- email paisleyrugs@gmail.com

What a lovely day and what a lovely view

Thank you Louise for an afternoon of hooking, visiting and eating. The food was delicious and plenty, the hooking was colorful and the chatter never stopped.  We all had a great time showing off our projects and catching up with each other and getting to know each other.   Louise's studio is the perfect setting - we were set up in front of a giant wall of windows overlooking the woods in her back yard - the snow that fell the day before was still in clumps on the branches of the trees.  The view inside was nice too - walls of soft colorful wool on the bolt and stacks of her hand dyed quarters - it was a great day.  Thank you for being such a warm hostess and accomodating with our snowy gift from Mother Nature.

January 21 - New Year Party - Rescheduled to Sunday, January 22

I will see you tomorrow - I had just blogged the party was on, then the snow picked up.

The party will be tomorrow, 2pm at Louise's. Everything is the same but the date.

Everyone drive carefully tomorrow and enjoy the snow day.  I hope you are able to snuggle in today.
