Snow Day: Clean Your Rugs!

We are in the midst of the Storm of the Century according to the weathermen.  It's the Great Blizzard of 2015.  Thankfully, it is a fairly light snow and not too bad to shovel, except that there is just SO MUCH OF IT!  So why not take advantage of all this precipitation?  Give your rugs a cleaning. Throw them out in the snow, cover, and then sweep clean with a whisk broom.  You'll be amazed at how bright and fresh they will look!

A Full House

We had a full house at our Holiday Hook In on Saturday.  It was great to see so many members and their new and recently completed projects.  Lunch was catered by Panera and Costco and was, as always, delicious.  Thank you, Louise, for picking it up, and thank you Sue, for bringing the drinks and setting things up, and to all the members who helped with set up and breakdown.

Our next meeting is an open hook in on February 28, 2015, at the Riverhead Library Craft Room #1, 10 to 3.  This one is a pot luck, so bring something delicious to share, as well as your hooking.

Holiday Hook In

The Peconic Ruggers Holiday Hook In will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2015, 10 am to 3 pm, at the Cutchogue Presbyterian Church.   This hook in is for members only.  Lunch will be catered. Bring your hooking and finished items to share!

We are still setting up an open hook in date for February, so stay tuned.

We will resume regular Tuesday evening meetings on March 24.  These will run from 7 to 9 pm.
The Peconic Ruggers, started by Gail Horton in 1996, is a rug hooking guild from the North Fork of Long Island, New York. We meet monthly at the beautiful Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead, New York.
